USC: The TROJAN SPIRIT of COMMUNICATION

Yesterday I had a "life coming full circle" experience:

I was invited to be a guest lecturer in two classes at the University of Southern California's Annenberg School of Commnunications. (Thank you again, Professor Carver.)

In each class there was a wonderful group of students who seemed interested and eager to hear what I had to say, and I am honored by the attention they gave me.

The opportunity also allowed for a trip down memory lane, as I shared that I, too, had been accepted to attend USC in 1986, yet chose instead to pursue my career in film and television entertainment.

It was great fun to see how my USC life may have looked 20 years ago!

I enjoyed the students' questions and comments about the world, politics, and entertainment. It was a great chance to listen to each other and express fresh ideas.

So many of us talk to or with or near each other -- yet often we don't actually commmunicate.

I believe all good communication begins with simply listening. And I'm glad some Trojans and I got a chance to listen to each other!

GO, DODGERS!

That says enough, doesn't it?
